I put a call in to Bardessano and it sounds like htis will start up again in May. It will be the first Tuesday of the month.
Maybe we can try again in the future for a temporary off leash area, which was my goal.

I’m trying to reach the teacher of First Step, Madri Bienenfeld at Napa Valley Adult Education to find out if there is space in their July session. Adult Education is coordinating the program. You can call them at 253-3594. I would think CRC would be a good place to call. Also, maybe you can try calling the school district (Napa Unified ) for their suggestions. The number for Instructional Services for Elementary Schools is 253-3591. If you are currently at home with your child, maybe some of the CRC “Mommy and Me” classes would be helpful. I can also put your question out to the Napa Moms Club. I’ll let you know if I hear more. Debbie

I am interested in knowing if enrollment is still available? I am a single mother of a 5 year old girl named Mariana and am recently unemployed. I have applied through CRC to have my daughter attend pre-school but was advised my income was too high. After becoming unemployed I reapplied but was never contacted. My daughter is scheduled to start kindergarten in August and has no classroom experience as I have found it impossible to pay for private daycare. Please advise of any program you may know of that may help. Thank you in advance.

I did notice on the Napa Recycling and Waste Services homepage – http://www.naparecycling.com – that their Napa location recycle “anything with a cord” ” 7 days a week and that they can do pick-ups for a fee. Maybe call them – 707 255-5200 with your question. . If you have something that might be reusable by families or schools (e,g, old computers, etc.) maybe also contact Orion Hill (see his contact info in the post.) – Deb

The Yountville Sun is passed out in Yountville on Thursdays. You can call the Ranch Market Too and see if they still have some. The library in Yountville might get a copy and it is open on Saturday morning. Since the content is not online it is too hard to post on. However, Yountville is TINY so what people do is drive around and look at all the sales. Most people might not even bother to post what they are selling.

Can anyone post a list of the sale locations? The Yountville Sun is apparently not sold in Napa. 7-11 has never heard of it. I contacted the Sun and they said that it is at Schackfords and they said they don’t have it. I bought the Napa Register yesterday, there was no list of sales. The parks and recreation department just refer you to the Yountville Sun.

What interests me is explore whether ANOTHER art piece (or art pieces) could be created and placed in the same space as an assertion of what our values and expectations as a community today. I hope that, since there is a steering committee, it will reconsider the depiction of Klu Klux Klan members, in costume, in a mural in downtown Napa. As a member of the community , I am appalled that this image is on display for all the world to see. Is this the image we want to project to visitors from around the world.? As a parent of 3 black children living in Napa, I am particularly concerned about the effect this image has on people who see it.

I know the artist said that he was just telling the true history of Napa, and there was Klan activity here. There are also members of this community who fought in WWII, Korea , Vietnam and more recently in the Middle East. Happily no-one has decided that images of atrocities that occurred during those wars are appropriate images for a public place.
